Romania recorded an absorption rate of 54.42% for European funds in the 2007-2013 financial period. It increased by 0.2% compared to the end of April.

Last month, the European Funds Ministry sent the European Commission declarations for EUR 38 million in spending, reports local Agepres. The total value of used funds amounts to EUR 10.3 billion, whereas the value of intermediate payments reaches EUR 9.6 billion.

Romanians submitted 45,000 projects, and their total value exceeded EUR 77 billion. About 19,300 were approved – worth some EUR 23.5 billion.

The total value of domestic payments to beneficiaries totaled EUR 11 billion at the end of May.
