Romanian Ioana Enache, the general manager of American group Amway’s operations in Romania and Bulgaria, took the lead of the company’s business in Greece, starting January 1, 2015. She will coordinate a network of almost 80,000 private Amway Entrepreneurs in the three countries.

Ioana Enache joined Amway in 2012, as manager of the company’s operations in Romania. She coordinated Amway’s expansion to Bulgaria, in 2014.

She has 22 years of experience in sales, marketing, communication, strategy and management of change. She previously worked for large local companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, A&D Pharma and OMV Petrom.

Amway is one of the biggest direct sales businesses in the world. The company has a portfolio of over 400 consumer products for beauty, nutrition, personal care and home care. Its sales topped USD 11.8 billion in 2013.

The group operates in 30 European markets. Romania is among the top ten markets in Europe for Amway.

Amway Romania’s sales were about EUR 17 million, in 2013, according to official data from the Finance Ministry.
