Romanian prosecutors helped break up a crime group specializing in ATM fraud, which has caused losses of some EUR 54 million.
The group comprised 25 people from Bacau. They were using a hand made metal device and placing them in the ATM's cash issuance slot, damaging over 100 ATMs in Bucharest and several other Romanian counties.
So far, 20 people from the group have been brought in for questioning.
