Romanian consortium bids for Budapest metro revamping

A consortium made of Electroputere VFU - Reloc Craiova, part of Grampet Group, and Astra Arad currently participates in an auction organized by the Budapest City Hall to modernize metro trains.

The maximum value of the contract stands at about EUR 205 million, Grampet announced.

The Romanian consortium has submitted the documentation for the first stage in the auction, in which the offers are pre-qualified, and which is expected to be completed by end-January.

French manufacturer Alstom, Czech manufacturer Skoda and companies in Russia and Hungary also submitted bids for this auction.
