Agricultural commodities multinational Cargill appointed Vasile Varvaroi as new country manager for Romania, effective June 1, 2014. He will replace Martin Schuldt, who will return to Germany to assume the regional role formerly held by Varvaroi.

From this position, the new country manager will coordinate the American group’s local presence, with emphasis on the company’s grain and oilseeds business and the relationships Cargill has developed with local farmers.

Vasile Varvaroi has an experience of 10 years with Cargill, both locally and in Canada.

He rejoined the Romanian team in 2012 in a complex regional position, acting as product line leader for grains and oil seeds origination in Central and Eastern Europe (Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and Bulgaria).

Cargill has been active in Romania since 1996 and currently employs some 600 people in 17 locations in the country. The company operates in the field of cereals, oilseeds and animal feed.
