Retailer Profi opens its 300th store in Romania
Retailer Profi opened in Timisoara, western Romania, its 300th store. It plans to double its network by the end of the next year, according to Profi.
The company announced the opening of four stores, in Timisoara, Bacau, Dej and Izbiceni. It has stores in 144 locations from 40 counties, and 80% of the products it sells are made in Romania.
Investment fund Enterprise Investors holds Profi. The retailer, which has almost 8,000 employees, opened last year 71 new stores. It plans to reach 350 units by the end of this year.
