US packaging manufacturer expands factory in Romania
The Romanian subsidiary of the US plastic packaging manufacturer Plastipak will expand its production units in the town of Urlati, Prahova county.
The company has allocated over EUR 2 million for building a warehouse, expanding the office area and placing two silos, reports Profit.ro. The work will be completed in October.
The Spanish group Mantor, which was founded two years ago, is in charge of the expansion work.
“We hope to build 2-3 projects of this kind per year in the future,” said Tomas Manjon, Mantor managing partner.
The Urlati factory produces plastic packaging for customers such as Pepsi and Procter & Gamble.
