RO authorities still evaluate options for reopening schools
There are three or even four scenarios for reopening the schools, Romanian prime minister Ludovic Orban said.
“When we have enough elements, we will make them public,” he said, quoted by News.ro.
PM Orban implied that the Government is still in the early stage of deciding a plan for reopening the schools.
“We have to analyze the school infrastructure, by region: large urban, medium urban, and small rural. So, we have to evaluate the infrastructure, we have to evaluate the teachers, we have to evaluate the access that exists,” he said, implying that the process is going to be elaborated.
President Klaus Iohannis, speaking on the same topic, admitted that “the school will not start in normal mode.”
He suggested that different solutions might be decided at a local level. The president also promised that a “clearer” announcement would be made next week.
