New Subway in Bucharest, further openings planned in Romania
Recent to Romania fast-food brand Subway has opened a fourth unit in the Sun Plaza shopping center, Bucharest. The company plans further openings this year.
Investment in the new 51 sqm Sun Plaza unit was under EUR 100,000 and franchisee Vlad Gutau, who opened the new outlet, says he wants to open more Subway restaurants in the future.
Subway development agent Rumen Radev said the company has plans to expand further in Romania, with more openings scheduled for Bucharest, Timisoara and Pitesti this year.
Fast food chain Subway was founded in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1965 and had over 33,400 outlets in 2011.
