New registrations of Romanian car brand Dacia, up 20% in France
Romanian car brand Dacia’s registrations in France recorded an increase of 21.8% in August. By comparison, the French car market saw an advance of 9.4% last month.
Almost 7,800 new Dacia cars were sold in France in August, compared to over 18,000 Renault cars, reports local Agerpres. The registrations of Renault vehicles went up by 8.7% in August compared to the same month last year.
Dacia had a market share of 7.3% in France whereas Renault’s market share amounted to 16.8%. About 107,455 new cars were registered in France in August.
The new Dacia registrations rose by 5% in France in the first eight months of the year reaching 80,388 units. The French car market advanced by 4.25% during this period to 1.39 million units.
