Minister of Agriculture wants a Romanian corner in every hypermarket

11 October 2012

French retailer Carrefour  has started a pilot scheme selling Romanian produce in its Baneasa store in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, which will later be extended to all its stores.

Minister of Agriculture Daniel Constantin said that, in order to help small agricultural producers, the Romanian products need more promotion and to be the center of attention. The Ministry will support the development of warehouses for collecting vegetables and fruits.

He also said that in November the National Program for Rural Development will open a new session for farmers to submit projects to build their own fruits and vegetables collection warehouses.
