Live music at second edition of Jazz in the Park in Romania’s Cluj-Napoca this summer

25 June 2014

The second edition of Jazz in the Park will be organized in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, between July 4 and July 6. The event will bring live music, fairs and other activities to the city’s Central Park.

Luz Azul, a bossa nova jazz band from Belgrade, will be the first group to perform on the festival’s stage on July 4. Teodora Enache and Lars Danielsson are the next artists in the program. The first evening will end with a concert held by Jazzybirds.

On July 5, the program starts with Youvenis, followed by Jazzybit and Moonlight Breakfast.

For Sunday, July 6, the organizers prepared a series of special concerts: Loungerie II, Mara & Kult Studio Artists, as well as an acoustic concert performed by Les Elephants Bizarres. On the same day, Melanie Pain will perform at the Hungarian Opera in Cluj-Napoca.

While all concerts in the park have free entry, the Melanie Pain’s concert cost RON 50 and tickets can be purchased online here.

The festival will also include the Jazz in the Park Fair, an event that will gather some 100 exhibitors. There will also be a special place dedicated to children and a relaxation area.

This year, the event also expands to Iulius Park in Cluj-Napoca, where a competition for amateurs will be organized.
