Danish retailer opens 48th store in Romania

JYSK Romania, one of Europe's largest retailers of furniture, decorations and home textiles, part of the Scandinavian group JYSK Nordic, will inaugurate its 48th store in Romania, in the SE city of Braila. The new unit will cover 1,200 sqm.

The company entered the local market in 2008, when it opened its first store in Oradea. It currently runs stores in Bucharest, Cluj, Timisoara, Vaslui and other cities in Romania.

The Scandinavian group has a turnover of over EUR 2.5 billion worldwide. The group has operations in 41 countries and has almost 20,000 employees. JYSK Nordic will reach 2,500 stores around the world this year.
