Italian band Ricchi e Poveri returns for another gig in Romania in 2014

14 November 2013

Italian band Ricchi e Poveri will return to Romania for a gig in February 2014.

The band, one of the best known Italian groups of the last 40 years, will hold a concert in Bucharest, at Sala Palatului, on February 26, 2014. The band's previous concert was earlier this year, and it was unexpectedly popular, as it was held with a closed box office. The band thus wants to reward its Romanian fans with a second gig.

Tickets for the concert are on sale for prices varying between RON 60 and 300.

Ricchi e Poveri was formed in 1967 by Franco Gatti, Angela Brambati, Angelo Sotgiu and Marina Occhiena, the latter of which left the group in 1981.

Their first public appearance was in Cantagiro 1968 with "L'ultimo amore". The band has also taken part in the Sanremo Music Festival several times since 1970 and in 1971 they sang "Che sarà". Ricchi e Poveri represented Italy in Eurovision Song Contest 1978 with song "Questo amore'.

Some of the band's best known songs are "Mamma Maria", "Voulez Vous Dancer", "Dimmi Quando", "Parla col cuore" şi "Come eravamo'.
