French group Edenred names new CEO for Romanian subsidiary

02 March 2015

French group Edenred, which specializes in prepaid corporate services, has named Frenchman Vianney du Parc to take over as general manager of its Romanian subsidiary as of March 2015.

Vianney du Parc, formerly general manager of Edenred Poland, will replace Pierre Gagnoud, who has led the company in the last two years.

He is a graduate of the Paris Business School and post-graduated in Finance. His career started as a financial auditor at Deloitte. He then joined the Accor Controlling department in 2005, before becoming the financial director of Accor Hotels Eastern Europe in 2008.

He joined Edenred in 2010 as the financial controller for the Central Europe and Scandinavia zone and became managing director of Edenred Poland in 2011.

Edenred is the market leader, in Romania as well as internationally, in the field of prepaid vouchers and cards for employee benefits, expense management, and public social programs.

In Romania, the company is best known for the Ticket Restaurant meal vouchers. Over 30.000 companies hand these vouchers to almost 1 million employees, which use them in a network of over 45.000 affiliated shops and restaurants, according to Edenred.

The company also issues social vouchers, childcare vouchers, gift vouchers, and gift cards.

The company recently announced the launch of the first electronic meal cards in Romania, under the same Ticket Restaurant brand, as the industry makes the transition to the digital era.

“I look forward to bringing Edenred Romania and the vouchers industry into the digital era,” said Vianney du Parc.

Edenred Romania had a turnover of EUR 13.1 million and a net profit of EUR 2.3 million, in 2013, according to data from the Finance Ministry. Its main competitors are French companies Cheque Dejeuner and Sodexo.
