Fifth edition of Valentine’s Day Charity Ball to be held this weekend

The Valentine’s Day Charity Ball, organized by the Blue Heron Foundation, will take place on Saturday, February 12 at the Ghika Palace of Bucharest. Its purpose is to raise funds to the benefit of the academic scholarship program destined for young people without financial means.

Over 250 guests have already confirmed their presence to the event. Among them are business people, diplomats, members of the civil society and media.

This year the foundation intends to offer 50 new scholarships worth EUR 1,000 per student.  One of the key moments of the evening is the award ceremony of “Forget-me-not” prize for outstanding contributions in the Romanian civil society. Among the former winners are Dinu Patriciu, Camelia Sucu, Princess Margarita of Romania and Anastasia Soare.

The program includes a fashion show presented by Romania Miss Universe 2010 finalists and a concert from jazz singer Teodora Enache. The guests will be listening songs from Teodora’s new album (“A child is born”) which has its release date a day later.
