Fewer Romanian companies go insolvent in first 11 months

The number of companies that entered insolvency in the first 11 months of 2014 dropped by 27.35% year-on-year, to 19,703, according to recent data from the National Trade Registry (ONRC).

The biggest decreases in the number of insolvencies were recorded in Mehedinti county – down 76.31%, Vaslui – 68.86% and Giurgiu – 65.9%.

Bucharest recorded the highest number of insolvencies in this period – 3,154, followed by Bihor county – 1,364, Dolj county – 802 and Galati county – 785. The lowest number of insolvency cases were recorded in Calarasi, Vaslui and Neamt counties.
