A new group of 44 Peace Corps volunteers will start their two-year mission in Romania this summer, the US Embassy to Romania has announced. The volunteers will be sworn in on Friday, August 6, at the US Embassy in Bucharest.

Star Storage, a company which specializes in data storage and information management, grew its turnover by 51 percent in the first half of the year, to EUR 7.8 million, compared to the first six months of last year. The Romanian citizens of Rroma ethnicity which will be repatriated from France will be included in the society through common Romanian – French programs which will be funded with European money. The two countries will together obtain the funds needed to create these programs.

The Government doesn't take into account, but is not ruling out either a new agreement with the International Monetary Fund, according to Romanian Finance Minister Sebastian Vladescu. The Romanian Government will analyze the need for a new agreement, hence a new round of financing from the IMF, at the end of this year, he also said.
