Romanian construction materials maker sees higher turnover, invests in new truck fleet

28 May 2015

Romanian construction materials producer AdePlast increased its turnover in the first four months of 2015 by 12% year-on-year, reaching EUR 17.5 million, the company announced.

Following investments of almost EUR 50 million, AdePlast operates nine plants on three industrial platforms in Oradea, Ploiesti and Roman. Starting May this year, the company has renewed its car park with 13 Volvo trucks to transport finished products and 6 cement trucks for supply with raw materials. The investment amounted to EUR 2 million.

"As the weather improved, we also expect an improvement in our sector, as there are positive signs from the private sector. It would be very useful for the construction sector if the state started investments. On the other hand, we hope not to witness another boom period, which usually brings negative consequences. The market has to develop slowly, and this is how we want to grow this year too," said Bogdan Pirvu, the CEO of AdePlast.
