The creator and main character of the famous TV show “Survivorman”, Canadian Les Stroud, will spend almost two weeks in Romania, where he will film in the Fagaras Mountains, at the beginning of June.

Stroud will “get lost” in the mountains for three days and will try to survive with plants and small animals that he will hunt on site. The filming will take place between June 2 and June 13, according to Arges County Council representatives. Stroud will come with a crew of seven camera operators and producers.

Les Stroud will cooperate with local mountain rescuers. He will offer clues on his whereabouts and they will search for him in the mountains. Only the head of the Arges Mountain Rescue team will know his exact location, for safety reasons.

Les Stroud, 53, is one of the most famous extreme survival experts in the world. His show Survivorman has been running for 11 years on Discovery Channel.

Another famous survival expert, Bear Grylls, also filmed an episode of his Born Survivor show in Romania.
