Canadian group pays EUR 10 mln for two solar parks in Romania

Canadian group Transeastern Power Trust has acquired two solar parks in Romania with EUR 9.6 million, excluding debt. The company bought them from local energy company RG Renovatio Group. T

he investment trust will pay a part of the acquisition price through Trust Units, at a price of USD 1 per unit, reports marketwired.com. The company will also take a loan from UniCredit Leasing Corporation IFN.

The solar parks have been in use for two years and have a total capacity of over 16 kWp.

In 2014, Transeastern bought 11 small hydro power plants in Romania, with an installed capacity of 5.1 MW.
