Akcenta wants EUR 25 mln transactions on external payments, FX deals in Romania

The Czech non-banking financial institution Akcenta has officially announced its entrance on the Romanian market.

It wants to reach a portfolio of 220 business customers and a transaction volume of EUR 25 million by the end of the year, it announced in a press conference.

In the first quarter of 2015, Akcenta assisted its clients in trading over EUR 590 million across all its market, said Milan Cerman, president of the Akcenta board.

The company entered the Romanian market in September 2014. It now has a team of 12 commercial representatives which cover the entire country, but the company wants to double the team and work with three times more customers.

It wants to double its team by the end of the year, said Theodor Stefanovici, the commercial director for Romania. Akcenta does external payments and foreign exchange transactions for its import-export clients. It is active in its home country the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Romania, and has a total of 25,000 clients.
