After regional position, Daniela Budurea, back at the helm of Western Union Romania and Bulgaria

Romanian Daniela Budurea is back at the helm of Western Union in Romania and Bulgaria, after coordinating the activity of Western Union networks in Central and Eastern Europe and South Europe for the last two years.

Budurea joined Western Union in 2012, when she held the country manager position for Romania and Bulgaria four seven months, before being promoted to a regional level. Prior to joining Western Union, she was group country manager with Angelo Costa Romania and led Angelo Costa International Romanian Branch for over eight years.

With 11 years of management experience in money transfer services, Budurea holds an Executive MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. She graduated the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest in 2001.

Western Union has been present in Romania since 1996, and currently offers its money wire services via a network of partner banks, as well as via the Romanian Post, PayPoint and the Cora hypermarket network. Its services cover over 6,200 localities in Romania.
