Weather changes in Romania, temperatures expected to drop

This week starts with clear sky and high temperatures in Romania, but the weather is expected to change starting Wednesday, October 22, bringing low temperatures, rain and even snow at high altitudes.

Romania’s Meteorological Association (ANM) made an estimation regarding the weather’s evolution between October 20 and November 2, for all regions in the country, namely Banat, Crisana, Transylvania, Maramures, Moldova, Dobrogea, Muntenia, Oltenia and the mountain areas.

  • Banat (includes the cities of Timisoara and Arad)

In the first two days of this week, the weather remains hot with maximum temperatures between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius, but low temperatures of maximum 11 degrees Celsius are forecasted for the period between October 22 and October 25. After this period, the temperature is expected to go slightly up to 14 degrees Celsius. Rain is expected between October 21 and October 24, and also after October 28.

  • Crisana (largest city in the region is Oradea)

ANM also forecasts hot weather for this region in the beginning of the week, but temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius starting with October 22. After October 25, the temperature is expected to increase slightly. Rain is forecasted for the period between October 21 and October 23, and again after October 28.

  • Transylvania (includes Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, Brasov, Targu Mures, Alba Iulia)

Hot weather and temperatures of up to 19 degrees Celsius are forecasted for this region in the first two days of this week, but the weather is expected to get colder starting Wednesday. The average maximum temperature is expected to drop to 5 degrees Celsius until October 26. After that date, the weather will be warmer. Rain is expected between October 21 and October 23, as well as on October 28 and in early-November.

  • Maramures (Baia Mare)

The first two days of the week will bring hot weather in this region, with temperatures higher than the normal values, according to ANM. On October 25 and October 26, the temperatures will drop to 5-6 degrees Celsius, but the weather is expected to be warmer after that date. It will rain between October 20 and October 23 and after October 27.

  • Moldova (Iasi, Bacau, Suceava)

After two days with hot weather, with temperatures of up to 21 degrees Celsius, it will get colder in this region, the temperatures dropping to 5-6 degrees Celsius between October 24 and October 26. Temperatures of up to 11 degrees Celsius are forecasted in the second week of ANM’s forecast priod, while rain is expected between October 21 and October 24, October 28 and October 29 and in early-November.

  • Dobrogea (Constanta, Tulcea)

Temperatures of up to 20 degrees Celsius are forecasted for the period between October 20 and October 22, but the weather will get cold in this region also, after that date. In some of the coldest days, the temperatures will drop to 7 degrees Celsius. After October 27, the temperatures are expected to increase slightly. Rain is forecasted for the period between October 23 and October 25, and on October 28.

  • Muntenia (includes the capital Bucharest, Ploiesti, Pitesti)

The week starts with hot weather and temperatures of up to 24 degrees Celsius, but low temperatures of 9-11 degrees Celsius are expected in the second half of the week. Slightly higher temperatures of 13 degrees Celsius are forecasted after October 27 and rain is expected between October 23 and October 24, as well as on October 28 and in early-November.

  • Oltenia (Craiova, Slatina, Ramnicu Valcea)

ANM also forecasts hot weather for this region, but the weather is expected to be colder in the second part of the week, with maximum temperatures of 9 degrees Celsius. Higher temperatures of up to 13 degrees Celsius are expected for the second week of the estimation, with rain between October 22 and October 24 and after October 28.

  • In the mountain, the average maximum temperatures will stay around 12-14 degrees Celsius in the first two days of this week, but they are expected to drop to 1-2 degrees Celsius after October 22. Starting with October 26, the temperatures will increase to some 6 degrees Celsius. Rain is forecasted for the period between October 21 and October 24, which is expected to turn into snow in some places. Rain and even snow at high altitudes is also expected after October 28.

This week starts with clear sky and high temperatures in Romania, but the weather is expected to change starting Wednesday, October 22, bringing low temperatures, rain and even snow at high altitudes.

Romania’s Meteorological Association (ANM) made an estimation regarding the weather’s evolution between October 20 and November 2, for all regions in the country, namely Banat, Crisana, Transylvania, Maramures, Moldova, Dobrogea, Muntenia, Oltenia and the mountain areas.

  • Banat (includes the cities of Timisoara and Arad)

In the first two days of this week, the weather remains hot with maximum temperatures between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius, but low temperatures of maximum 11 degrees Celsius are forecasted for the period between October 22 and October 25. After this period, the temperature is expected to go slightly up to 14 degrees Celsius. Rain is expected between October 21 and October 24, and also after October 28.

  • Crisana (largest city in the region is Oradea)

ANM also forecasts hot weather for this region in the beginning of the week, but temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius starting with October 22. After October 25, the temperature is expected to increase slightly. Rain is forecasted for the period between October 21 and October 23, and again after October 28.

Hot weather and temperatures of up to 19 degrees Celsius are forecasted for this region in the first two days of this week, but the weather is expected to get colder starting Wednesday. The average maximum temperature is expected to drop to 5 degrees Celsius until October 26. After that date, the weather will be warmer. Rain is expected between October 21 and October 23, as well as on October 28 and in early-November.

  • Maramures (Baia Mare)

The first two days of the week will bring hot weather in this region, with temperatures higher than the normal values, according to ANM. On October 25 and October 26, the temperatures will drop to 5-6 degrees Celsius, but the weather is expected to be warmer after that date. It will rain between October 20 and October 23 and after October 27.

  • Moldova (Iasi, Bacau, Suceava)

After two days with hot weather, with temperatures of up to 21 degrees Celsius, it will get colder in this region, the temperatures dropping to 5-6 degrees Celsius between October 24 and October 26. Temperatures of up to 11 degrees Celsius are forecasted in the second week of ANM’s forecast priod, while rain is expected between October 21 and October 24, October 28 and October 29 and in early-November.

  • Dobrogea (Constanta, Tulcea)

Temperatures of up to 20 degrees Celsius are forecasted for the period between October 20 and October 22, but the weather will get cold in this region also, after that date. In some of the coldest days, the temperatures will drop to 7 degrees Celsius. After October 27, the temperatures are expected to increase slightly. Rain is forecasted for the period between October 23 and October 25, and on October 28.

  • Muntenia (includes the capital Bucharest, Ploiesti, Pitesti)

The week starts with hot weather and temperatures of up to 24 degrees Celsius, but low temperatures of 9-11 degrees Celsius are expected in the second half of the week. Slightly higher temperatures of 13 degrees Celsius are forecasted after October 27 and rain is expected between October 23 and October 24, as well as on October 28 and in early-November.

  • Oltenia (Craiova, Slatina, Ramnicu Valcea)

ANM also forecasts hot weather for this region, but the weather is expected to be colder in the second part of the week, with maximum temperatures of 9 degrees Celsius. Higher temperatures of up to 13 degrees Celsius are expected for the second week of the estimation, with rain between October 22 and October 24 and after October 28.

  • In the mountain, the average maximum temperatures will stay around 12-14 degrees Celsius in the first two days of this week, but they are expected to drop to 1-2 degrees Celsius after October 22. Starting with October 26, the temperatures will increase to some 6 degrees Celsius. Rain is forecasted for the period between October 21 and October 24, which is expected to turn into snow in some places. Rain and even snow at high altitudes is also expected after October 28.
