Volksbank opens new branch in Romania, plans further expansion this year

Volksbank Romania recently opened a new branch in Bucharest and plans to open eight other units this year, according to the bank. The new branch has a total area of 121 smq and five employees.

The bank also intends to revamp all its branches across the country, following total investments estimated at EUR 10 million.

“Volksbank continues its territorial coverage plans, focusing on strengthening its branch network and also its position on the market,” said Alina Neagu, branch network administration manager, Volksbank Romania.

The bank is present on the Romanian market since May 2000. Currently, Volksbank Romania has 130 branches, of which 23 in Bucharest.
