The US supports Romania in the efforts to contribute to the regional energy security, US Ambassador Hans Klemm said on Wednesday, September 27, at the Aspen Energy Summit in Ploiesti.

“The US supports Romania in the efforts to contribute to the regional energy security through the development of interconnections and the diversification of the fuels and resources. We support Romania and the European Commission in the efforts to create infrastructures that make better connections for gas supply,” the Ambassador said, reports local Mediafax.

Hans Klemm also stated that “the energy is the basis for economic prosperity,” and that “the access to reliable sources of energy is a national concern for any country in the world.”

The fifth edition of the Aspen Energy Summit was organized in Ploiesti, Romania, on September 27.
