Two Swiss policemen have been sentenced to 18 months in jail each, with parole, for having beaten a Romanian man last year.

The two policemen from the Swiss village of Lugano met the 37-year old Romanian in March 2013 in the Lugano railway station, and asked for his identification papers. They then asked him to follow them to the Police station, and took him to a nearby locality, where they beat and left him.
