Almost 80% of company representatives say that adopting the EUR would have a positive impact on their businesses, according to a study conducted by TMF Group Romania.

“Companies consider that the change will have a positive impact of revenues – 79%, on exports – 79% and on competitiveness – 79%. A negative effect will be seen however on operating costs, 47% of respondents expect so, while 30% consider that the impact on administrative taxes will be negative,” said Camelia Nita, managing director with TMF Group Romania, cited by local Capital.ro.

According to the study, 78% of companies in Romania consider the complex system of taxes and regulations to be the main challenge of the local business environment. Finding qualified workforce (31%) and adapting to the banking and accounting system (18%) are the following challenges identified by the respondents.
