Three motorcycle enthusiasts have decided to relaunch Mobra, a famous Romanian motorcycle brand from the communist era.

Dragos Paise, Andrei Postelnicu, and Radu Gherasim already took the first step by opening a Mobra Shop in Bucharest. The store covers 100 sqm and offers 1,000 products for bikers, such as clothing items and accessories. Motorcycle enthusiasts can find several brands in the new shop, such as John Doe, Roland Sands, The Rokker Company, Gas Monkey Garage, and Warm&Safe.

On the medium term, the three entrepreneurs want to restart the production of Mobra motorcycles. The local factory will produce a wide range of products, from scooters to motorcycles, the investment in the design and the assembly of the new models being estimated at more than EUR 500,000. The entrepreneurs are currently in talks with technology and design companies for this project.

Mobra was one of the most popular Romanian brands born in the communist era. Known as the first Romanian motorcycle, the Mobra was produced at the Metrom plant in Brasov for 23 years.
