Romanian actress Ana Ularu has received the Boccalino award at the International Film festival in Locarno for her role in 'Periferic' movie (translated 'Outbound'), which was selected for the festival's official competition. Boccalino is the critics' award at the Locarno festival.
The debut feature length movie 'Europolis', directed and produced by Romanian Cornel Gheorghita, has been selected for the International Film fetsival in Montreal, Festival des Films du Monde. The festival will take place between August 26 and September 6

The comedy, a Romania – Republic of Moldova – Luxembourg co-production, will be featured in the Focus on World Cinema section.
The Anonimul Film Festival, which will start on August 9 in Sfantu Gheorghe, in Delta Dunarii, will feature a movie which was included in the official competition in Cannes this year – Certified Copy, with Juliette Binoche playing the main character.
