Major Romanian pavers producer Symmetrica refurbishes factory to meet rising quality and quantity requirements

20 April 2022

Symmetrica, a major Romanian producer of pavers and curbs, which operates eight factories in the country, announced the completion of a EUR 10 mln investment project aimed at refurbishing the factory located in Verești, Suceava.

The factory is the company's first production unit, which opened in 1999.

"After 23 years of operation and in the current context of the market, we have decided to invest heavily and completely change the production lines," said Sebastian Bobu, Executive Director of Symmetrica.

Under the refurbishment project, the two lines of the factory were entirely replaced by ones with a capacity that is, overall, 50% higher. The halls and the offices were rehabilitated and modernised as well.

"The market in the northeast part of the country has matured in recent years, and customers are increasingly interested in products of very high quality and with a strong architectural impact. We also noticed that the demand often exceeded the local production capacity hence this investment was necessary," added Sebastian Bobu.

One month ago, the company put into operation its eighth factory, in Solca (Suceava), following an investment of EUR 2 mln. It is dedicated to the production of elements for sewer systems.
