Two in five Romanians (40%) plan to buy mobile phones in the next three months, and 15% intend to buy a tablet, compared to the European average of 11%.

Also, about a quarter of Romanians (22%) want to buy new TVs, twice as many compared to Europeans, according to the Samsung Techonomic Index survey, conducted online on 18,000 respondents in 18 countries.

Most of the Romanian households (97%) have at least one mobile phone, PC or laptop, TV and one appliance. The penetration rate of tablets has reached 67% in Romania, up compared to the European average of 64%.

Romanians have on average 19 electronic devices in their households, same as the rest of the Europeans. Romanian consumers use electronic devices for 10 hours and 20 minutes daily, two hours and 20 minutes more than the European average, according to the study.
