Slovenian pharmaceutical group Krka increased its sales in Romania by 31%, to a record EUR 27.8 million, in the first half of 2014. This was supported mainly by prescription drugs, according to the company's report.

The company also said that of all the markets it is active on, Romania saw the largest increase in prescription drugs sales, of 37%, compared to the same period of 2013.

Krka posted sales of EUR 583 million, in the first six months, down by 0.8% compared to the same period of 2013. The company’s profit for the period was EUR 98.8 million, 6% higher than in the first half of 2013.
