Romstrade lands additional EUR 1.25 mln contract for Bucharest ring road works

Construction company Romstrade, owned by Romanian businessman Nelu Iordache, has landed a EUR 1.25 million additional contracts for works on the Bucharest North ring road. The contract was awarded for design and execution works on the segment 1A-DN2 of the north ring road.

The 21-km section of Bucharest northern ring road between Chitila and Voluntari will require EUR 70 million and should be finalized this year. Works are divided in three segments- between DN2 and DN2, where Romstrade does the works, between DN1 and DN1A, where Austrian Alpine is in charge, and between DN1A and DN7, where Greek Aktor is working. (DN means National Road – Drum National).

The ring road will have three passages. To connect the A1 highway to A2 highway, the Romanian Transport Ministry will organize a bid to expand the ring road between A1-DN7 and DN2 – A2, in total 21 kilometers.
