Rompetrol Group to invest USD 17 mln in new filling stations concept in Romania this year

Oil and gas company Rompetrol Group will invest USD 17 million by the end of 2013 to create three “new concept” filling stations as well as upgrade 25 existing sites in Romania.

The new concept was launched Thursday (September 19) following the completion of modernization works at the gas station located in Otopeni, near Bucharest, which was upgraded to the tune of USD 1 million.

The Rompetrol station Otopeni has an automatic payment device for utilities and telephone invoices, Internet Wifi, a closed smoking area and additional parking.

The new filling stations will include, in addition to the facilities already available in the Rompetrol network, new components of visual identity, modern architecture and newly designed interior areas.

Rompetrol Group conducts retail activities in more than 1,100 fuel distribution points in countries such as Romania, Georgia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, France and Spain.

In Romania, the company operates over 753 fuel distribution points, 230 auto LPG stations, 9,000 cylinders distribution points and three LPG filling stations in Constanta, Arad and Bacau.
