Subsidies to the social security budget totaled EUR 1.3 billion in the first half of the year, and the deficit for this budget was of EUR 185 million, according to the Public Finance Ministry. Total revenues to the social security budget were of EUR 5.6 billion, while social security expenses were of EUR 5.7 billion.

The unemployment insurance budget ended the first quarter with a surplus of EUR 21.7 million, at EUR 190 million expenses with the unemployed.

For health insurance, the deficit was of some EUR 133 million, and total expenses, EUR 2.5 billion. State subsidies for health insurance were of some EUR 337 million.
