Romania's Ministry of Public Finance borrows EUR 128 mln from banks

The Ministry of Public Finance borrowed EUR 16.7 million from local banks on Friday, December 12, which is an additional amount to the bond auction on Thursday, when the Treasury borrowed EUR 111 million, at an average yield of 2.21%.

For the non-competitive bid auction on Friday, six banks submitted bids amounting to EUR 18.4 million, reports local Economica.net.

The Ministry of Finance borrowed on Thursday, December 11, EUR 111 million from commercial banks at a yield of 2.21%, through a bond issue for three years, at which banks submitted EUR 385 million bids.

The Treasury is borrowing such bonds cheaper compared to November, when it accepted an average yield of 2.39%.
