Romania’s Ministry of finance raised the equivalent of EUR 15 bln this year

Romania’s Ministry of Finance raised almost RON 48 billion (or some EUR 11 billion) this year through issuing bonds in RON on the domestic market, plus EUR 3 billion and USD 1.5 billion through bonds in foreign currency.

As a result, the Romanian state raised the equivalent of EUR 15 billion since the beginning of the year.

On November 16, the Finance Ministry has attracted RON 1.1 billion (some EUR 247 million) by selling one-year bonds at an average yield of 2.9 percent per year, the lowest yield for this maturity.

Banks have made subscriptions with a total value of almost RON 2.4 billion (some EUR 539 million).
