Romania’s largest electricity producer expects EUR 225 mln profit this year
State-owned Hidroelectrica, Romania’s largest electricity producer, expects a gross profit of over EUR 225 million this year, some 10% higher than in 2013, according to Ziarul Financiar.
In the first seven months of the year, the company made a gross profit of about EUR 135 million. The larger profit forecast is supported by a larger quantity of energy produced. Hidroelectrica initially estimated an output of 13.9 TWh for this year, which it revised upwards to 16 TWh.
