Romania's Cluj airport traffic, up by almost a third
The International Airport “Avram Iancu” from Cluj-Napoca in Central Romania recorded in February a 31% increase in traffic year-on-year and a 19% increase in the number of landings and takeoffs.
The increase in traffic continues the upward trend recorded in January, reports local Economica.net.The number of passengers grew then by 30% year-on-year.
Last year, the Cluj airport recorded a 14% increase in the number of passengers, which reached 1.1 million. The number of landings and takeoffs went up by 8% compared to 2013.
At European level, the airport traffic increased only by 5.4% in 2014, compared to 2013.
