Romania’s carmaker Dacia to pay EUR 73 mln in dividends

Romanian carmaker Automobile Dacia will pay a total of RON 320.8 million (EUR 73 million) in dividends, the equivalent of 95 percent of last year’s net profit of RON 337.4 million (some EUR 76 million). The company will start dividend payments on June 15, according to Mediafax.

French Renault Group holds 99.42 percent stake in the Romanian car manufacturer, so it will receive dividends worth RON 319 million (EUR 72.6 million). The rest will be paid to the minority shareholders.

Last year, the company paid dividends of RON 260 million (over EUR 58 million).

Dacia’s total sales went up by 44 percent in 2013, to RON 18.4 billion (EUR 4.16 billion).
