Romania’s car market saw a significant increase in November.

The number of new car registrations rose by 41.5% year-on-year whereas the car sales in the European Union grew by only 13.7% in November.

Over 8,000 cars were registered in Romania last month, compared to just over 5,600 in the same month last year, according to data releases by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association - ACEA.

Romania saw over 72,400 car registrations in the first eleven months of the year, up by 12.1% compared to the same period in 2014.

In the European Union, over 1.08 million cars were sold last month, with most of the markets posting double digit growth rates. In the first 11 months, over 12.6 million new cars were registered in the EU, 8.7% more than in the same interval of last year.
