Mihai Cioltea, 37, the Romanian who has managed the expansion of Inditex group on the local market in the last 8 years, is the new head of expansion for the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan with the group.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he took over this position in April this year. Inditex has a business of some EUR 1 billion in the two countries, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

Cioltea has been working with Inditex, Zara’s owner, since 2007, the year when the Spanish group entered the Romanian market. Before joining Inditex, he was leasing manager with Iulius Group.

During Cioltea’s mandate, Inditex brought several brands on the local market, such as Zara, Zara Home, Oysho, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius and Massimo Dutti.

Inditex runs over 100 stores in Romania. The group had a turnover of EUR 175 million on the local market in 2013.
