Romanian women’s handball team goes to GF World Cup final

Romania’s national women’s handball team beat France 23-21 (15-7) in the first semifinal of the GF World Cup, taking place in Aarhus, Denmark. Last year, the Romania team won the final, after beating Norway.

Romania scored through Neagu (8 goals), Manea (6), Amariei (3), Paraschiv (2), Bradeanu (2), Ardean (1), Moldovan (1). Mendy and Herbrecht (4 goals each) scored for France.

The second semifinal pits Denmark against Norway. The third place playoff, between France and the loser of the Nordic semifinal, will be held Sunday, at 3.15 p.m. (Romanian time). The final will be held two hours later.
