Romanian takes over from expat at the helm of A.T. Kearney’s local office

Romanian Stefan Marcu will replace Michael Weiss as lead partner for Romania of the consulting group A.T. Kearney. Weiss, who has been serving as the lead partner of A.T. Kearney for Romania since 2007, has become the group’s lead partner for Turkey.

Stefan Marcu is an A.T. Kearney executive with a 10-year experience in the group. He has worked on different projects in the financial market and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. Marcu is both a Polish and Romanian national and has been working for the group’s office in Warsaw.

He has a master in Management from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, and spent the first two years of his career in the Polish group Brilux, working as a business development manager for CEE.

A.T. Kearney Management Consulting, the group’s firm in Romania, had a turnover of EUR 3 million, in 2013, and 13 employees, according to public data from the Finance Ministry.
