Romanian song: Totaya Ye by Trupa Hara feat Mr. M. (+ some old Hara songs)

15 August 2013

Hara is a Romanian band we used to listen to years ago, and we had it on heavy rotation. The lead singer's (Flavius Buzila) beautiful voice and the folk and gipsy-inspired sound got us hooked, but for several years we have not heard anything about them.

They seem to be back, and updated their style a bit. This song we discovered is a featuring with Mr. M, a hip- hop singer, and the combination somehow works.

The song is called Totaya Ye, but don't be mislead by the name, it is a Romanian song, its lyrics are in Romanian. The title is in fact the Romanian saying “Tot aia e” (which roughly means it's the same thing), but written in a more...well, international way.

It made us dance and listen to it a couple of times, and even made us want to re-listen to more of Hara's old and new songs. The song and video for Totaya Ye is below, along with our other favorite Hara songs (Muro Shavo, which is still a good party song, Cine- a fast paced love song, with a beautiful violin sound, Liber, and Shikana),
