The Romanian public television TVR is in a very critical financial situation, said its president Stelian Tanase. The TVR management sent to state authorities, including to the Romanian Tax Administration ANAF, proposals for solutions to its debts.

The public television has EUR 9 million debts per year to ANAF, said Adrian Bucur, member of the Board of Directors with the Romanian Television.

"TVR is indeed in a very critical financial situation. The management had to prioritize spending according to viewers' interest, according to the public mission of the Romanian Television," said Stelian Tanase, cited by local Wall-street.ro.
