Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos will fly to Berlin today where he will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel, German MPs, as well as representatives of the Romanian community.

He will arrive in the German capital at noon and will be welcomed at the airport by an honor guard.

Ciolos and Merkel will also discuss the refugees’ situation, according to official sources. Romania doesn’t agree with mandatory refugee quota, but wants to become part of solving the problem, the sources added.

Foreign Affairs Minister Lazar Comanescu will accompany Ciolos in his Berlin visit.

The Government has rented a private jet from Tiriac Air for Ciolos. The trip costs EUR 23,500, reports local Profit.ro. It is Dacian Ciolos’ first official visit abroad as Prime Minister.
