Romanian President: Romania is not in default risk and can pay interest on loans "today"
Romania is not in default risk and can pay the EUR 2 billion interest rates "today", said the Romania President Traian Basescu, during a show at 10TV. “We can pay today, if somebody asks. Romania is not in default risk”, he added.
Traian Basescu is also willing to give up more than one year of mandate for the parliamentary and presidential elections to overlap again. He would do so only if he will find support for the constitutional revision, in which case, the parliamentary and the presidential elections should be in November 2012, he added.
