Romania’s largest power producer Hidroelectrica wants to sell 31 micro hydropower plants with a 20% discount, according to the company. The plants have a total installed capacity of 25.7 MW.

Hidroelectrica previously tried to sell the micro hydropower plants for EUR 18.8 million but failed, so it will now auction them for about EUR 15.8 million.

The assets are divided into 22 packages and are located in 13 counties. The auctions will take place between November 23 and November 26.

The process of selling micro hydropower plants started in June 2013. Up to now, Hidroelectrica has sold 28 units for a total of EUR 18 million.
